2026 Power of Moments Walkshop
The Patagonia Walkshop will be ambitious: covering the rugged landscape of southern Argentina as we hike over mountains, glaciers, and through forests. One spectacular afternoon we will paddle through the lake’s crystal-clear waters on kayaks, surrounded by towering mountains, dense forests, and majestic hanging glaciers.
Throughout our adventure, we will explore the pivotal experiences that shape us, understand their impact on our leadership style, and learn to intentionally design meaningful moments for ourselves and others.

Sunday, Nov 8 2026
We begin our journey at the opening dinner by reflecting on where we come from—not just biographically, but through the lens of the moments that made us. We’ll explore our personal “defining moments,” both large and small, and how they’ve shaped our leadership identity.
We’ll introduce the framework from The Power of Moments—highlighting four types of moments that disproportionately shape our lives:
Elevation (moments that rise above the everyday)
Insight (moments that change how we see ourselves or the world)
Pride (moments that celebrate who we are)
Connection (moments that deepen relationships)
We’ll touch on some common (and fun) origin stories as well as your own origin story.
-
Monday, Nov 9 2026
We’ll start the day thinking through some sliding doors moments from your life… what decisions have you made where your path could have gone in different directions. Throughout the day, we’ll share these moments.
Late in the day, we’ll talk through some daily reflection questions about how these moments have shaped you, how they’ve been barriers or accelerators for you, and how it informs your vision of the future.

Tuesday, Nov 10 2026
In the power of moments, we talk about 4 kinds of moments…
Elevation (moments that rise above the everyday)
Insight (moments that change how we see ourselves or the world)
Pride (moments that celebrate who we are)
Connection (moments that deepen relationships)
We’ll learn more about each of these kinds of moments and then dig deeper into discussions about them, thinking about which resonate the most, which feel most impactful for yourself, and which feel most impactful for others, giving us some great discussion points as we hike through the day.
-
Wednesday, Nov 11
This day is a day off from the trail. This “inner hike” day will be a chance to physically recover and dive deeper into the conversation together.
We’ve look at our sliding doors moments, thought about origin stories, and discussed which kinds of moments resonate most with us, let’s dive in deeper today.
Learn Elevation—those peak experiences that energized us or pushed us to new heights.
Learn Insight—the moments when something shifted, and we saw ourselves or the world in a new light.
Learn Pride moments- moments where we felt recognized, accomplished, or deeply aligned with our values.
Learn Connection moments - moments when we felt truly seen, understood, or bonded with others.
Overall reflection:
How do these moments shape your leadership style? (either positively or negatively)
Where do you hold back, and what might it look like to lean in?
Ending the workshop with:
Creating a “journey map” or visual timeline of your key moments so far, identifying patterns or themes we’ll revisit tomorrow.

Thursday, Nov 12 2026
Now that we’ve named and explored our defining moments, we begin weaving them together and getting intentional about the moments we create for ourselves and for others.
We’ll think about who we influence as leaders, what kinds of moments we want to create more of, and how we can intentionally create those moments.
-
Friday, Nov 13
Our final day is about stepping into what’s next. We shift from “where I’ve been” to “what I want to create”—for ourselves, our leadership, and our organizations.
We’ll put ourselves in a further future moment, thinking about year from now, how we use moments to build towards that goal and how we want to create long-lasting, transformative moments for others.

What will the weather be like?
In November, Patagonia shifts from spring toward early summer, making it one of the best times to visit for hiking and exploration. Daytime temperatures typically range from roughly 8 °C to the mid-teens Celsius (≈ 46–64 °F), though in some inland or northern areas (or on warmer days) highs can push toward 18–20 °C (≈ 64–68 °F). Nighttime and early-morning lows tend to hover around 3–7 °C (≈ 37–45 °F), so while days may feel mild and sunny, mornings and evenings remain crisp.
At the same time, November brings longer daylight hours — often up to 15 hours of daylight, giving hikers plenty of time for trails, glacier views, and wildlife watching. Rainfall tends to drop compared to winter, and many trails begin to open for the season; yet because weather can vary significantly across microclimates, you should still expect some rain, cool nights, and occasional strong winds.
How should I train / prepare for the hike?
Everyone should start an exercise routine several months before our trip and start increasing the amount of physical activity they experience in a typical day in anticipation of the experience.
